Major outcomes of CONVERNET are the Conversion Handbook for the Baltic Sea Region and the Action Plan Conversion for the Baltic Sea Region. The Conversion Handbook presents conversion of former military properties case by case. This way, strengths, possibilities and obstacles of the very individual conversion processes are shown, serving others as inspiration for succesful management of conversion processes.
The Action Plan Conversion is based upon the handbook and further investigations in the Baltic Sea Region as well as on the results of the single Work Packages. The state of the art of conversion, its financial, legal and institutional framework as well as main actions to be taken in the near future will be presented. The Action Plan Conversion will be published in early 2006. Both products are accompanied by the CONVERNET newsletters. In three editions, actual issues of conversion are discussed. The third edition is prepared recently and will be issued until the end of this year.
