The CONVERNET-network will include actors from local, regional and national organisations concerned with issues related to the conversion and redevelopment of former military sites. In order to function properly, the network will need to have a central co-ordinating agency and help desk to manage the everyday tasks of running the network. The work of this “help desk” will be supervised by a committee made up of representatives of the partner organisations. The ""help desk"" will co-ordinate and delegate the activities between the partners, such as the organisation of workshops and study visits. Furthermore, it will be responsible for the documentation of the work, the dissemination of the information on paper and in ""digital"" mode (e.g. CD-ROM, Internet) and for reporting to the European Union.
The network partners will participate in problem-oriented work packages (WP2-5), in which the partners (local,
regional and national authorities, research institutes, public corporations) will focus on specific aspects of
conversion affecting them.
